It has been a long time since I felt what below 0 degrees feels like and I don’t like it. I was in Missouri to speak at Missouri State and the high for the 2 days I was there was 11 degrees. When I was packing I knew it was going to be frigid so I immediately thought of my black cashmere turtleneck sweater. I may have sweaters that are thicker but this one layered with a tank underneath is by far the warmest. It may have made better sense to wear pants or jeans, but the wool skirt worked just as well. I only ended up wearing the shoes in the first 2 photos for 5 minutes as it was too slushy everywhere else and I just wore my boots.
The first 2 pics were taken outside Benetti’s Coffee in Raytown, MO. They made a great latte, probably the best I have ever had on the road. While we were there the barista told us about a good place in Springfield, MO where we were headed. When we got into Springfield we had over an hour to hang out so we went to the Coffee Ethic. They also had great drinks and Shawn and I both were thrilled to find such great shops in the middle of a trip that was a bit exhausting, travel wise.
